OMAHA, NE (August 26, 2009) -

WHEN: Friday, August 28, 2009 - Starting at 5 PM

WHERE: The Amazing Pizza Machine, 13955 "S" Plaza, Omaha

WHO: Current Girl Scouts (please come in uniform), prospective Girl Scouts (ages 5 to 17; grades K-12) and their parents are invited to this special event.

WHY: Learn more about the Girl Scouts and kick-off a new year of activities designed to help young women develop the character and skills needed to succeed in the real world.

New Scout sign-up will take place from 5 to 7 PM.

PRE-REGISTERED SCOUTS and NEW SCOUT ENROLLEES only:

* RSVP for Friday evening's event now! The name of a new Girl Scout or a current Scout who belongs to a troop that pre-registered will be entered into a drawing. The Girl Scout whose name is drawn wins the choice of a $50 Big Fun play card or a FREE trip to Cogswell's Factory, where she can create her own stuffed animal with outfit and accessory (a $50 value).
